The Pro Series shaft is listed as high launch for the 60g regular flex version. Does this hold true for most users? I have read some online discussions that seem to indicate the shaft launches a little lower than “high.” Are there comparable shafts, in your opinion? I currently game a Motore X F3, which I was fitted for last year. And I generally get along well with most medium swing speed shafts (mid 90s, medium tempo, not spinny, but generally play a draw). I liked NV in an older Ping driver. But hated NVS and atmos red. And when I was fitted recently, I could not get a feel for very counterbalanced shafts. Any insight on your in house driver shaft is helpful (I also like to tinker). Thanks!

The MPF DR shaft in Regular is slightly more firm in the butt section and tip section than the Motore X F3 in 60 R, but the deflection numbers are identical. Generally the MPF is on the firmer side of all the R flex graphite wood shafts in our data base. As far as the trajectory, that can vary from player to player. It may be a mid/high trajectory for some, and a high for others. The Aldila NV has a profile very similar to the Motore X F3. So since the two shafts you state you like are the Motore X F3 and the Aldila NV, both in the R flexes, that would seem to be the profile type that you should stay with with whatever driver you choose. At least start there. If you are wanting a little firmer feel, then you might consider the MPF shaft. The Rapport Core Blue in the 62 R is another option that has a similar profile to the Motore X F3 and is considered a Mid/High trajectory. We developed the Rapport product with VA Composites and I think it is a great option for a lot of players. Might consider it.

Editing to add an additional question after fishing around for info on your Rapport shafts. Can you compare it to any other shafts? I don’t have the opportunity to test one anywhere and I am very intrigued. If it’s similar to the motore x or the Diamana s+ I can see trying one out. The VA lineup is interesting. Thanks in advance. I could go through the data base and probably find more shafts that is is similar to, but knowing you like the ones you listed and the Rapport is similar to those should make the decision easier. The Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 60 in s flex is another one I found that is very similar in it’s profile.
