Mark, you’re right. There’s really no significant difference between these wedges. I know there’s a new series of wedges coming out, but I don’t expect the playability or design to be much different than any of these. Seems they have found what makes for the most playable wedge and have stuck with it. So all but one 58* wedge has a 1.05 sole and an 8* bounce. Only the glider is a little different. Britt always says that whatever designs they use need to be playable, so I doubt we’ll ever see a thin soled wedge design that has more than 56* of loft, and even then, it’ll probably never be less than .90 sole width. Obviously, there are numerous “players” wedges out there with thin soles, even in the higher lofts, and they are not very playable! Hope this helps some. Britt or Jim may shed more light on this on Monday.
If you look at the Specs/head shape/ dimensions of these items: MG58, R58, Mid58, and MS1.05-58 they all seem to be the same club head. Am I missing something here? Again is there a difference in play-ability and design in these heads that I am missing? Perhaps Britt will be able to provide an incite-full answer to this. Thanks.
