Currently gaming TM MG3 56/60 with a “tour grind” ish sole. I love the aesthetic looks of the max milled wedges, both the backs and the full face grooves, along with the ease of swing weighting. I know TSW grinds would be much better suited for me based on what I play today (with a strong short game) but I can’t get over the looks of the max milled. Has anybody done a tour grind to the max milled wedges? Is that possible / effective or am I dreaming
You can custom grind any wedge, but realize weight will be reduced and the chrome will be compromised leading to the head rusting where the grinding too place. You would have to take a lot of material off the Max Milled .090 sole and even more off the 1.05 sole to get close to the sole of the TSW. Still, in theory, and by someone that knows how to grind you could custom grind the sole. We do not offer custom grinding. You still might give the .090 a try. It is a very versatile wedge, just does not have the extreme relieved sole that the TSW does.
