Just saw these on two seperate web pages. Any info on time line, head weights, offset, etc.
I saw a blurb about co-forged tungsten and ceramic ? How off am I on the ceramic being used in the bottom of the hosel, sort of like Cleveland does with their “xipcore” so that the cg ends up slightly closer to toe side ?
They also look “similar” to the TS3 & TS1-IM
Does the TS3 use ceramic? I don’t know of that is the secret sauce but hitting the Maxfli xc2 demos in GG and they are some of the best feeling clubs I’ve ever felt. I was shocked. Are they basically the same? Or just the base with tweaks?
Im a relatively new PGA professional at Stanford, 4 years now and looking to become a staffer with someone, they are a Taylor Made and Callaway place with varsity teams and complete instruction services fitters etc. so they are all set, but my other two are smaller facilites and dont carry equipment but i could sell Maxfli like hotcakes, i tell all of my students to but Maxfli Tour balls, anyway, is there anyway to become a Maxfli staffer and who would i talk to about this??
As most know we are owned by Dick’s Sporting Goods and they do own the Maxlfi brand. They loved the models we have done recently and to make a long story short, we helped them with the design. There design team modified the back cosmetic and we made it work to maintain the high level playability. The TS3 was the base model to create the CX2 and CX3. CX2 is very close to the TS3 and the CX3 has some sole width and topline modifications and a other minor changes. The ceramic (CMC) internally is something we were the first to use and it is used internally to displace weight and allow for optimum positioning of the mass to enhance or improve playability. Co-forging with the tungsten is a part of it and also something we use in our TS3 and TS4. We will be building all the Maxfli irons, stock and custom, at our facility when they are launched in the spring. We can’t release the exact specs or any product detail since it’s really not our product. I’m sure details will be available relatively soon.
