I’m looking at possibly getting a mini driver, 12° or 14°.
I currently play a Ping G20 12° with the Ping R flex. I hit it reasonably straight (a work in progress) but off the tee my 15° 3 wood is straighter and almost as long.
Would a KE4 ST-Fd be worth a look or should I consider one of the OEM mini driver heads.
BTW: loving the DBM irons and KE4 Tour HDI hybrids, best irons I’ve owned.

The KE4 ST-Fd has been and continues to be a very good performer and could be an option. I think you would find it would be smaller in size than some of the mini drivers your seeing. It’s volume is 200cc. I think the Taylor Made Aero Burner mini driver is 253cc. You could make the ST -Fd 43.5 inches in length, which is the same length as the mini. The head weight of 205 grams would accomodate 43.5 inch playing length. I think you simply have to decide on whether or not you the 12 degree loft is better for what your looking for. If you think 14 degree is an option, and the smaller head size is not an issue, then the Fd could be a good choice.

Thanks Britt. Well, there’s only one way to find out I guess. Looks like I’ll order the head and an Xcaliber shaft when I get back from Florida next month, give it a whirl and see what happens. I can always use it as a replacement 3 wood, which I’d like anyway.
