Talking with a friend regarding extending the length of a Moment X Putter (using the BB9087). He would like the length to be 42″, then adjust the putter for loft and lie (whatever those values may be).

Is there any difficulty in doing this? Can the double bend shaft (AP0007) be bent in the two planes to attain desired loft and lie? Would the putter still maintain it’s face-balanced characteristics?

In the event this can be done, can it be ordered through the custom shop?

It can be done, but it is very difficult without the player being present while you are fitting it precisely to his method. How much forward lean determines how much needs to be bent to get the loft correct, and the lie need to be proper for his or her set up. We have done it by bending the double bend shafts and also by combining the aluminum putter hosels (see link below) with the Moment X putters. The aluminum hosels are easy to bend.

Again, really difficult to build one if the player isn’t present. No real way to order through the custom shop. Best to get the parts and dial it in for the player in person.
