Morning,

Can I get some feedback regarding the new MPF driver, 3 wood and iron shafts?

What flex for would you recommend for the driver and 3 woods (Stiff or XS)? Coming from a Tensei AV White Xlink 65 gram XS in the driver and a first generation Tensei Blue 75 gram XS in the 3 wood.

As far as iron shafts, I currently play X100’s in 5-AW and looking to replace with graphite. How does the X100 compare to the MPF besides the weights, which I see is much lighter. Looking for feedback related to stiffness between the 2 and do you think that would be a huge adjustment for me to go to the MPF shafts from the X100’s? My thought was to build the KE4 max irons with MPF XS shafts, but would like your recommendation.

My SS is 92 with a 5 iron and 91 with a 7 iron, 5 iron goes an average of 210 and 7 iron goes an average of 180 (according to trackman this week). My swing tempo is fast coming into impact and I have a steep swing. I will be getting some instruction to correct that in the next few weeks.

Britt, were you referring to the new MPF pro series+ or the old version?

If you try the MPF Pro Series in the driver and fairways, you would need to go with the X flex based on your speed. I don’t have the specs o the AV Raw White Xlink 65 XS, but do have on similar Tensei shafts and based on what I have to compare, the MPF Pro Series is similar in profile, with the Tensei White maybe being a little firmer in the tip section. Not much firmer, but a little. The MPF Pro Series are also similar to the Tensei Blue you listed and actually are a little firmer in the tip than that Tensei Blue, which I do have the data on.

On the irons, big difference in weight between the DG X100 at 130 grams and the Pro Series X at 85 grams. I wouldn’t discount how much that will effect the overall feel of the club. As far as flex, the Pro Series Profile is similar and is even a little firmer in the tip section, but a little softer in the mid section. I do think it would be a big adjustment, but no reason to think you couldn’t adjust. Only way to know is to test. Maybe try just a #7 iron first. If you definitely want to transition to graphite, you might look at a heavier option like the Recoil DART 105 or a SteelFiber 110. Again, the MPF could work fine, but you have the speed and strength to handle a heavier graphite if you were worried about the bigger weight difference between the Dynamic Gold X100 and the Pro Series X.
