Hi,
I’ve been fit a few times recently into various drivers but the common denominator has always been the HZRDUS Black Gen 5 in xstiff or 6.5 flex in Project X talk. Driver swing speed cruises in the 110-112mph range once I’m warmed up. I noticed that the MPF rating for the new MPF Pro Series + DR in xstiff is basically the same, 5B1M vs 5C1M. How do they compare to each other? My typical miss is a strike off the heel, but my face control is pretty good so I don’t think the difference between the playability factor of the two would be of much concern. I’d much rather try a different shaft then spend $700+ on a new fitted driver.
Follow any question, can the old MPF Pro Series DR be tipped to get the same stiffness as the newer + version?
Thanks for your reply, Britt!
Would the old MPF ProSeries have a similar profile to the new MPF ProSeries + with tipping beyond flex? Or were there other changes made in the profile for the redesign? I have a MPF ProSeries in my driving iron, I really like the feel of the shaft even if I can’t hit the driving iron very well. That’s more of a function of my ability and that driving irons are difficult clubs to hit no matter what.
