i am thinking about get a new set of either TS1 in the new IM model or a new set of TS3s. My current set is a blended set of TS1 in 6-gw and a TS2 4-5…I want something easy to hit but can’t really give up distance at my age. Thanks in advance.

Can’t go wrong with any and the performance should be similar among the models. The TS3 could hit it a little higher, as mentioned by Yankee, and there can be some slight differences in spin, launch etc. Just depends on the player and results can vary from player to player. Looks are different, so you should consider what you prefer to look at. Don’t think you can make a bad decision, even if you stay with what you got. The TS1 and the TS2 irons were awesome and still are, but they will be going away moving forward.
For what it’s worth, I played the TS1 when they came out and really liked them. Played them until I designed the TS4 and when they came out I switched to them. Best iron I have ever played, but of course that will appear to be biased, I know. I have tested the TS1-IM and the TS3 extensively and they are as good and i could pay them as well. I just prefer the look of the TS4 right now.

I just finished a demo session with the TS1-IM, the TS3, and the TS4, against the TS2 (my current set).
(I’ve also hit the TE v4).
To be honest, I really didn’t find the huge difference between them. The TS 3 Hit it a little higher, the TA1-IM A little lower with a little less spin, but none of them hit it further than expected.
All that said, I’m staying with the TS2 as None of the other Irons were so remarkably better. When I finally decide to switch, it will be to the TS4. I just preferred the way it set up behind the ball and it was more than forgiving enough
Thank you for your input
I have had all the TS series. I started with TS-2 and then added TS-1. I then played a mixed set. TS-2, 5-6-7-8, TS-1 , 9-PW-GW. They are great irons..
Being a Maltby guy I had to have the TS-3, TS-1IM and now the TS-4. I really don’t think you will find huge performance gains, but they are better than the first two TS series. THe IM– more forgiving and the same great profile of the original. TS-3– think of the solid buttery feel of the original TE with a progressive cavity. They are wonderful. The TS-4– I have fewer rounds into and will defer to others. They take a SOLID swing for results– but those results are FANTASTIC..
Best of luck– you can’t go wrong.
I don’t know if I am ready for the TS4 but was thinking the TS3 as my clubs are like new…..I don’t know it the IM would be that much different from my current set.
