Hi there!

This summer I’m adding a TC Pro 6 hybrid to my bag, and planning to re-shaft my hybrids with the new MPF Pro Series shafts.  I am deciding between the MPF Pro iron shafts and MPF Hybrid shafts for my 6, 5, and 4 TC Pro hybrids.

I’m currently using last years MPF Pro Iron shafts in my 4 and 5 hybrids.  I play my hybrids as iron replacements at just a little over the same iron standard length in order to get a little higher launch and better landing angle into greens.

Can you provide some additional information on the current model MPF Pro hybrid shafts vs. the Iron shafts, and if the iron shafts can be used in the hybrids using the same tip trim as the iron it’s replacing?  Most often I see the Hybrid shaft weights increase 5-10g over the similar model  iron shafts, but in this case, the weights between the iron and hybrid shafts are the same in the R flex I currently play.

What advantages or differences would there be using the hybrid shafts vs. the iron shaft in a hybrid head used as an iron replacement?

Thanks!
