Hi Guys,
I have played the STi2 with FST Pro shafts for 5+/- years and loved them…but they have been moved to my winter home in Florida. I have been playing the KE4 Max irons with Score LT shafts for a couple years. Played well but was never crazy about the look. I also want to change to graphite shafts. I made up a 7 iron of the STi2 Gen 2 with the Pro Series R shaft and LOVE it. I’m aching to build a full set of them but the Pro Series R shafts are ‘on order’ but not expected in until mid June. I would rather not wait. I’ve been looking at the Aldila NV iron shafts and the MPF is similar except for flight and a little lighter. Do you think they would be a reasonable replacement? I know you offer the Kuro Kage in the paks but I think they are a higher launch profile (I don’t need more height). Do you suggest another graphite iron shaft that would be a better match to the Pro Series?
Thanks in advance. Love your products!
Thanks statechamp. Yes, I was referring to the NEW version of the Pro Series. I had used the older version in A flex because they ran stiffer to flex than ‘standard’. I will consider both of those. It is confusing though because the MPFs occasionally differ between the website and catalogs. I know the difference between ‘mid and high trajectory’ is minimal and dependent on swing, etc, I’m just trying to avoid iron shots that balloon.
I’m fairly certain that the old version of the pro series shaft and the NV iron shaft are pretty close in profile. You could go that route if you couldn’t wait.
Did you use the current pro series design shaft? Or is this the old logo pro series shaft (black and red color)?
I would think that the new version of the pro series shaft would match up better to the rapport core blue, and the kuro kage (with the kuro kage being higher launching).
