Any ideas on removing a Ping Anser 2 shaft if it has a ball bearing? Should I assume epoxy was also used, or did they rely on friction fitting only? Short of sending the club to Ping, does anyone have any experience in dealing with this type of connection? Would appreciate some comments.

Pretty recent putter. Don’t believe they have the ball bearing. Should just need some heat.

Local golf repair shop and Ping confirmed that bearing was used in assembly.

That being the case, if you can’t pull with just heat, you may need to drill up into the hosel using an 3/16″ bit then tap the bearing loose with a 1/8″ punch.
You can back fill the hole with clear epoxy and the metal filings.
