Looking to resurrect my high school putter but shaft is very rusty. Can shaft be removed? I heard that Ping used a ball bearing forced into shaft end to attach to head. Does GolfWorks have a shaft to fit?
Thanks

The Ping Kushin from that era most likely has a tip diameter in the shaft that is anywhere where .343 to .355. It is probably .355. Ping used to start with a .343 and just trim it until it fit. It should have the ball bearing in it. So, we will not have a shaft to fit it. The shaft is probably a single bend and it was not a 90 degree bore from what we remember. Consensus here is that you should contact Ping and see if they either have a shaft or can re-shaft it for you. As a last resort, we could possibly take a .355 iron shaft and bend it to the proper bend and do the re-shafting. We would have to have the club to evaluate to see if that is possible.
