I’m looking at buying ping eye 2 irons, I’m black dot irons normally. What’s going to happen to ball flight, will I have to play the ball in a different position?
Would appreciate your feedback, cheers…
Red dot is a flatter lie. If the black dot standard lie fits you, an iron that is too flatter will produce shots that are right of your intended target. Not sure why you want to move to a red dot if the black dot fits you. If you tend to miss shots left of the target with the black dot, it could be that the black dot irons are too upright. Too upright influences shots to the left (for right handed players). In that case, the red dot might fit you better. You should always play the lie angle that works for you. You need to have a qualified fitting professional do a dynamic lie test to determine what lie is best for your game.

Hi Britt, appreciate your feedback. When I got fitted for the black dot the Pro said I was in between black and red, my friend was selling black so I bought them. I think a lie test is a good idea now as that was along time ago and maybe I’ve changed, thanks again.
