I have PowerBilt persimmon heads – 1, 3 and 5-woods. I’d like to reshaft these clubs, but I cannot figure out the shaft tip size. I’d like to install steel shafts like I played in the 1970’s. What is the tip size? Thanks!

Most likely if the original shaft was an R flex the shaft was taper tip with a .277″ tip. If it was stiff flex, the shaft was taper tip .294″ tip. None of those shafts are being manufactured anymore.

Britt, thanks for the information. It appears I’ll need to bore out the hosel for a standard .335 shaft. Is that doable with these clubs? Does Golfworks offer this service?
