Britt, can you provide profiles in order to compare the following shafts? Even if it is simply “soft butt and stiff tip”, or the like. Regular flex in all cases.

KuroKage Black HPB 2nd Gen

MPF Pro DR

UST Gold 55

Prolaunch GWX

UST Proforce HL 55

I tend to prefer stiffer butt with softer tip. The manufacturers descriptions are not specific enough to be of any use. Although the Kuro Kage does actually say stiff-soft-stiff, which is great info.

Weakest shaft of the ones listed is the UST ProForce HL 55. Weakest butt, weakest tip and overall weakest profile. MPF DR is the stiffest overall profile. Stiffest Butt section, stiffest tip section and stiffest overall profile. The Kuro Kage and the PL GWX have the stiffest butt sections with the softer tips, with the PL GWX having a very slightly softer tip section, probably not even a noticeable difference. The UST Gold is a similar butt stiffness and tip stiffness to the Kuro Kage and PL GWX, but is stiffer in the mid section. All the numbers I looked at were R flex in the 50 – 60 gram options.
