For about a year now I have been using Pure Grips on my irons. I really like the grips and all the options and benefits it brings to regripping. I was not aware of the convenience that is built into the grips with not having to use grip tape and solvent. It’s not that messy but using grip tape can make the job harder and take longer to be able to use a club that was recently regripped. I don’t have an air compressor but I am thinking of making that my next purchase. In addition, it sounds like I will have to buy the attachment to install the grip. My questions are how big of an air compressor is required and is there something else I can use in place of the attachment or should the attachment be purchased thru PURE?

Putting a grip on with no tape only requires 35-50 PSI. If you are removing grips that have been put on with double sided tape, you would probably need 75 PI. We posted this answer on the product page on our website. See below:

If you are just installing grips with air and not using double sided grip tape or solvent then a small compressor. I have a 1/2 horse Craftsman compressor at home similar to this one that works fine for me. http://www.harborfreight.com/1-5-hp-58-psi-compressor-and-airbrush-kit-95630.html

If you are wanting to remove grips that have been installed with double sided grip tape then you would be better with a tank compressor. In our school here at GolfWorks we have this one. https://www.lowes.com/pd/PORTER-CABLE-6-Gallon-150-PSI-Electric-Pancake-Air-Compressor/4764588 It will also work for installing grips with air and not using double sided grip tape.
