Hey Britt,

I got fitted at HQ a couple months ago, settled on the KE4 max irons with the Nippon Tour 120X shafts. Chris recommended you build them 1/4 under standard length (I’m 5’10) and go 1 degree upright. It’s probably a swing flaw, but I am consistently pushing the ball on every iron shot I hit. Don’t know if the screw in the toe of the head it helping with that push, but I wasn’t doing that with my previous iron set (Sub70 699’s).

Can you please confirm if this is the issue and if not, any recommendations on how to fix?

The only thing I could recommend is to come in at let Kris take a look. He’s an excellent teacher as well as fitter. I know rarely is it in the set of the irons, but we would want to take a look to verify the specs are what they need to be and to see if there is something you are consistently doing to cause the push. Maybe bring the sub70’s with you if you still have them so we can see if there is some aspect of the specs that could be contributing. Give Kris a call if it would be possible for you to come in. That would be the best way to determine what direction we need to go.

Thanks Britt, just spoke to him. He recommended getting them bent 2 more degrees upright. I’ll start there and see if that helps.

Looks like the max bend is 2 degrees on these irons. They’re already bent 1 degree upright, do you recommend not going more than 2 degrees total? Don’t want them to bend them more than tolerance and have them break

We generally say 2 degrees max bend, but we could bend them a little more if needed. I might go with bending 1 more degree then try them to see. Still need to consider having someone evaluate our swing to see if there is something subtle you’re doing to contribute to the push.

Thanks for the response. I had all of them bent a total of 2 degrees upright. We will see if that corrects it. If not, I will schedule an appointment with Kris and go from there.
