Is there a way to measure a putters head weight without removing the head from the shaft?
Yes, you can. Take the overall weight of the assembled putter and subtract the weight of the shaft and grip. For example, full length, uncut putter shafts are about 120-128 grams. Here’s a link to some True Temper putter shafts – http://www.golfworks.com/true-temper-straight-taper-steel-putter-shafts/p/YST/
Of course, the shaft cut to your specific length will be lighter. Putter grips vary quite a lot, but you can look up the one you’re using on the Golfworks site. (Just go to the main page, www.golfworks.com, and enter the kind of grip you have in the search bar.) Hope this helps. Michael
