As Golfworks handles the custom club work on the new Maxfli Irons for Dick’s I have several questions, and some info. I have viewed these new irons in person no less than 4 times now. As with all my prior clubs I will require a custom spec order. First, the Maxfli 7 iron Demo Clubs and the 7 iron in the Newly Stock Maxfli sets are the exact same length, and the steel & Graphite demos are this same length. 37-1/2”, yet the Spec Sheet in for these on Dicks site list the 7 Iron at 37”. I have physically measured these in person as well… they are 37-1/2” not 37”. Seeing this now throws major confusion into my plans on ordering these! Additionally, on the website/order page there is no mention of the interchangeable weights, nor if all cubs receive the same weight, or if they are available for order separately. Trying to address this with Corporate Dicks has been impossible, and some have mentioned trying to get in touch with the source of any order assembly… Golfworks.

Todays update… just left a different Golf Galaxy which had demos of various lengths (designated with stickers). I have photos of actual lengths, but cannot send them as they are on my phone.
The club builder even helped me measure using his bench ruler device.., 7 iron standard is 37.6”, 7 iron marked +1/2” is 38.1””. will send photos later…

First, the weights in the toe are not adjustable. That is what they wanted.

As far as the lengths, 37″ is the standard length for the steel and the graphite. Different stores got different demos. Some stores got only standard length demos in steel and graphite. Some got a multiple shaft option demos at standard length and also 1/2″ under standard length (36.5″), standard length (37″) and 1/2″ over standard (37.5″). What stores got what depended on the size and location of the stores.

So all I can guess is that you were in a store that had the length options and you measured the 1/2″ over. The important thing, it appears for what you are trying to do, is to know the standard length is 37″ for a #7 iron in steel or graphite. We can custom build just about anything, so whatever length fits you, we should be able to build.

thanks… but i checked their demo’s against the recently unboxed full sets. all of the six 7 irons (4 demo clubs and 1ea from xc2 & xc3 sets) were all identical at 37.5”… yet specs show 37”
… therefore i am uncertain what length clubs i would actually receive if i ordered my usual +1/2”.
both of the dick’s stores I visited received only 4 demo clubs (2 steel, 2 graphite) at both stores these measured 37-1/2”. none were physically identified as being plus 1/2”.
measuring the standard way and with a ruler, plus we compared them to my set thats +1/2”, and compared to other sets in the store.
