I’ve been getting more and more shaft and shaft adaptor replacements lately so I’ve got to get up to speed and practice on my own clubs. Generally I recommend the Maltby line of shafts for men, women and seniors.

Is the tipping measurement the same for a standard Maltby shaft, then you add the adaptor? Or do we take in account the length of the adaptor? I’m probably get a couple of shafts for my driver and adaptors and do a little practicing.

Tipping details for each Maltby shaft is listed on their individual page on the GW website. Not sure if they’re all the same, so it’s best to go check for the model you have.

You trim the tip per the details given, then add the adapter. Drivers are generally not tipped at all, unless you want to. This will affect the flex and feel for the driver if you do. Then you install it into the driver after it’s cured and cut the final length at the butt end. Grip, and enjoy.
