I’m replacing my putter grip with an oversized SS 2R, any tips or the same steps as replacing regular grips?

I wold measure the swingweight of my putter before the new grip is installed. The SS 2R grip is 110 grams, so unless the grip you are replacing is the same weight or close to it, you will loose head feel. You can add the weight back using lead tape. As far as the installation, the procedure is the same as installing rubber grips, but the Super Stroke grips are a little more difficult to install. You should use plenty of solvent on the two sided tape, work quickly and push the grip on with the heel of your hand over the butt of the grip, with some force. Also, the club has to be secure in a vise or a gripping/club clamp of some kind. People get into trouble when they don’t have the club securely fixed, don’t use a good solvent or tape, use too little solvent, work too slowly, and/or try to “pull” the grip on instead of pushing it on. All the solvents and tape we sell will do the job.
