Pulled a broken shaft on a older 7w wood, that is 15-5 Stainless and Tungsten. Weight is 218 grams. What would be a good shaft weight to pair with this? I typically use Stiff Flex in all clubs. Something 65-70? Or 70+ grams?
Thanks!!

Weight wise that’s right around what most 5 woods come in at. Keep that in mind whenever you tip trim.
as far as shaft suggestions go, you’ve left a very broad range there. I’d need to know what you’ve played and liked in other fairways. Also a little bit about your current game, swing speed, typical miss, club you hit 150 yards.
My opinion on shafts would be look at something more mid bend and not overly stiff. Based on you liking the YS-6.
Budget wise you could go with the maltby pro series but it will feel pretty firm compared to the YS-6. You could also consider the Kinetixx fairway shaft.
You could definitely consider the M890 but if you’re hitting a 9 iron 150, I don’t know if you’ll feel that the M890 would be too soft of a profile.
I would add the Rapport Fairway as an option. Have it in my new IST PRO #3 wood and the #7 wood I carry from time to time and so far, very happy with the performance.

Thank you!
Dont really know swing speed, dont have launch monitor, and live in rural area where our courses dont have simulators.
9 iron is my typical 150 yard club. Fairway and Driver Miss will be pull left or sometimes dead straight but a block to the right.
Use to have Graphite Design YS-6 in old Cleveland Launcher 3 and 5 wood.
Currently have TM Stealth 2 3 and 5 wood.
Wanting to rebuild my old 7wood from 20 years ago without breaking bank like a Ventus TR shaft would.
