I have a KE4 TC PRO IST 7 Wood. My friend wants me to build him a 7 wood just like it. We need some shaft recommendations for a smooth swinging senior player.

His Shaft Playability Factor is: 2B2M.

We are considering 5 shafts, which are:

iWood Accura 42 Series, M2-A Flex, 4.9° Torque.
iWood Accura 52 Series, M2-A Flex, 4.1° Torque.
Grafalloy Prolaunch GWX, 50 Series, A Flex, 4.8° Torque.
UST Gold, 55 Series, A Flex, 4.5° Torque.
UST Golf, 65 Series, A Flex, 4.0° Torque.

Which shaft would be the best choice? Also at standard length, what would the estimated swingweight be, with a GP Tour Wrap Microsuede grip?

The shafts are all very similar, so it kind of comes down to the weight, and possibly the price. Profiles are all close enough to each other that I doubt he would notice much difference in performance. Swing weight estimate based on a 42.25″ standard #7 wood length with graphite shafts under 64 grams, and a GP Microsuede Tour Wrap midsize grip (57g) (I used midsize because we do not have any standard remaining) would be C9 on the lighter weight shafts and D0 on the slightly heavier shafts. If you already have the Microsuede shaft in a standard size (47g), then the swing weight estimate would go up to around D1-D2 at the 42.25″ length. Obviously these are estimates and if you go shorter in club length the swing weight would go down. The 42.25″ is a relatively new “standard” for the #7 wood. We adjusted it because of the slightly lighter head weights and the increased use of ultra light shafts in fairways and hybrids.
