Should you alter graphite shaft tipping instructions to allow for the 1/4″ or so less bore penetration? 1/4″ more perhaps?
If you were using a tip weight that adds 1/4″ you would tip trim 1/4″ more than what is recommended in the trimming instructions to maintain the correct flex of the shaft. If the weight has a 1/8″ head you would tip trim an additional .1/8″. Whatever weight that is added by a tip weight would get trimmed for the tip end of the shaft to maintain proper shaft flex.
