I am really interested in trying the MPF pro series + shafts but have never hit graphite irons before. I plan on going in to get a new fitting in the very near future and was wondering if there was a “mainstream” graphite shaft that a similar bend profile to the Pro series that I could try out? Also could you compare the bend profile to a common steel shaft such as the TT 115 mid?
Not sure what a mainstream graphite would be. All the manufacturers tend to use the same shafts we sell in the aftermarket, or a proprietary version of something they have for their brand. I think it best that once you get fit, we can revisit what shaft they recommend and then see if we have the same shaft, have access to it, or have something similar. Also, once we know the shaft, we can then compare to the TT 115 Mid.

Understood on the “mainstream”. Difficult to compare all the profiles of the brands you listed because most of the iron shafts in those brands are different raw lengths. Comparing a 41″ raw shaft length profile to a 42, or 40.5 or 39 doesn’t give you a direct comparison. That being said, the Fujikura Vista Pro in the 70 R and S flexes are the most similar. The True Temper 115 Mid Steel shafts are firmer than all the comparable graphite shafts. Difficult to compare steel to graphite anyway since because of the material difference, but the profile of the TT is definitely firmer, especially in the tip section.

Thanks for that info. I will see what the fitters say and go from there. Hopefully they will have a vista pro just to try something similar but it may not fit my swing at all. I would rather spend a little extra on a shaft that will improve my game vs trying to save a little money. I can make that up in lost golf balls alone lol.
I put mainstream in quotations to imply brands that have a lot more advertisement and known to the general public. Something that most fitters would have in stock like a Fujikura, Mitsubishi, Aldila, and such. Basically, just wondering if there was something with a similar butt, mid, and tip stiffness with about the same kick point that I could try. If not, I will go ahead and order a trial club to see how I get along with it.
