First off I really got to quit looking at website and catalog…..but I was looking and comparing specs on couple of irons. I am mid handicapper shoot in 90’s and more of sweeper. Keep flip flopping between getting Sti2’s, TS3 or even old DBM (Deals section)……keep reading reviews about Ke4 maxes….

Started comparing measurements and lofts and noticed the Max says sole widths of .785-.835. Is that correct, because that means it has smaller sole width than Sti2’s. The Sti2’s says sole width .850.

And if it does have smaller sole I might really look into those instead, even though I really like looks of Ts3. Just don’t know if good enough for TS3’s…….

The KE4 Max sole widths are a little progressive, like we listed. They are more radiused from the back than the STi2. Both have a good radius, but Max is slightly more. Playability difference would be hard to notice. Both are good in al turf conditions and both designs are forgiving, with the Max being a little more forgiving by the overall MPF numbers. TS3’s have a slightly progressive sole width as well with a good radius. Not always just about the sole width, but also the radius.

I think you could play any of he three. Max would be most forgiving, TS3 next and the STi2 next. The TS3 and the STi2 are Super Game Improvement and the Max is Ultra Game improvement, so all are very stable and forgiving. You could absolutely play the TS3 if that is the profile you like best. The Max would give yo the largest profile and the STi2 would be the best value from a price standpoint. Really don’t think you can make a bad decision from a playability standpoint. More about what you like to look at and getting the specifications set up that work best for you.
