The benefits depend on the player. For some, the more shock dampening characteristics of graphite might be a benefit. Definitely more weight options in graphite. For others, the weight of the steel, the feedback steel delivers vs graphite, might be seen as a benefit to them. Not many hybrid specific steel shafts manufactured anymore, but like I said, using an iron shaft is fine. You just need to note the head weight of the hybrid head and trim the iron shaft correctly for that head weight so it plays true to flex. In short, it’s personal preference as to whether you go graphite or steel.

KBS doesn’t make the steel hybrid shaft anymore, but we have 1 5.5 and 10 6.5 of our FS0020 KBS Steel Hybrid shaft in stock. No reason the KBS steel hybrid wouldn’t work, but if you like the X100 in your irons, you can use X100 iron shafts in your hybrids as well. Just would need to use the proper tip diameter. We have it in both .355″ (for the iron if it requires a taper tip) and .370″, which is most likely what you would need for the hybrid.
