Which is the standard swingweight throughout the set. Woods, Irons, Wedges
There is no “standard” swing weight within the industry. Generally, with conventional sets of irons built to industry average lengths, progressed in 1/2 inch increments, swing weights will be in the C9 – D2 range. Variations come from different “standard lengths” from each manufacturer, different stock shaft weights, grip weights, head weights, etc. Wedges, particularly SW’s will tend to have slightly higher swing weights, D4- D6. Woods can vary, especially with the varied playing lengths and shaft weights that are available. Again, generally, I think you would find most fairway woods and hybrids in that C9-D2 range in stock offerings. Fairway woods the same. Drivers will vary, but most of the major brands stock drivers swing weights are listed int he D3 to D5 range.
