Hi Britt and gang – I have played the TE Forged, STi2 and currently playing the KE4Max. I hit them all pretty well but have been progressively moving to stronger lofts. Now I’m looking for a little more consistency and control, especially in the shorter irons. I have been vacillating between the TE+ and TS3. There is a lot of positive comments/reviews about the TS3 but very little mentioned about the TE+. I loved the way the original TE Forged sat behind the ball and thin top line, but I don’t understand the lack of feedback. Have they not sold well? I know the MPF is very similar and I’m sure you and the staff have played them… what is the general consensus? Which of the two do you prefer? (I’m 77, play to a 10 and would be using MPF Pro shafts).

The TE+ DBM irons are first-class. If you like the TE, you’ll also like the TE+.

TE v4 DBM + score is a sweet combo. Solid choice, love the look at address, launches ball, great turf interaction. I liked the less offset and thinner top line better than the TS3 to my eye.

We have received very positive feedback on the TE+ irons. I do think it gets a little overshadowed by the TS3 and TS4, but not sure why. The TE+ is our attempt to bring the TE line up to modern specs and tweak the profile slightly, which I think we accomplished. Super clean look and super playable. The TS3 gets a lot of positive reviews and it might be because it came out a little earlier, I don’t know. It has a different profile, with a little thicker topline and slightly wider sole and slightly more offset. I think both play very similarly. You may just have to look at those features and decide if one is more to your liking than the other. Lofts are the same, so should be no difference in distance. Don’t really think you can make a bad choice. Might be worth trying a #7 iron of each before investing in an entire set. That’s a relatively inexpensive way to test and be sure.
