The new TE + I just found on your website can you tell us maybe if possible the new changes and the difference between the original TE vs the new TE + forged and will there be a sneak peak of what they may look like ? By the way the new iron lineup you have looks Phenomenal Sexy and clean!!!!!
I feel rather strongly about not continuing the path towards ever stronger lofts. We are already up to sets with 4 wedges (46, 50, 54,58) or (46, 50, 56, 60) with some bending of the 56.
Golfworks is providing wedge sets with lofts (50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60). Any iron set with the PW stronger than 46 presents a problem. The customer must then bend weaker to generate sets with consistent gapping. At the same time about a third of an iron set is now single length. Where are we going with this?
I am very happy with the plan for the TS-4 irons and feel manufacturers should stop at this point with the loft creep. 46 degree PW. No stronger please, and no larger than 4 degree gaps throughout. Reasonable gaps of at least 3 degrees in the long iron (20-24) range, preferably 4 degrees due to the need for a lob wedge.
I do like “modernizing” the sole so that clubs have less offset and less turf interaction. Front to back and heel to toe radius is a good thing.
I do like the understated graphics on the TS-3 and TS-4, another nice “modern” trend for component heads. Please extend the same to shafts. For example, there is no need for big block letters on the Maltby Pro Series. Just makes it harder to get a clean, undistracted look at address.
