In comparing the TS3 to other irons, would you say that they are players distance irons, players cavity back irons, Game improvement, or what?

I’ll throw my $0.01 in here. When you actually look at the build of the iron along with it’s spec, you’re really looking at a more Player’s like iron. The cavity back design and the fully forged head both say player’s iron. The lofts, being a lot more traditional than those of the Player’s Distance category, also say Player’s like iron. Another aspect of the irons that make them more Player’s like, is the ability to shot shape with them. Most PD irons aren’t as maneuverable as straight Player’s irons. They’re built more for speed and distance in a player’s preferred shape.
The TS3, in my opinion, bridges the gap between Player’s and Player’s Distance irons. Most aspects of the irons say Player’s, but they are by no means short on distance (at least from the guys I know who play them). They also offer a great deal more forgiveness than a traditional Player’s iron will. So they’re really a category by themselves, offering aspects from Player’s, Player’s Distance, and Game Improvement.
