I have a set of kuro kage silver series graphite iron shafts and need to know tipping instructions. there is a number on the butt labelled SF226-IR-1A. can you help find what the tip cuts on these shafts might be, if any. thank you.
I went back to 2013 and we have not carried the Kuro Kage Silver irons, that I can find. On their website they list trimming for the Kuro Kage irons (no designation of Silver or Black). it is the same trim as we list for the Kuro Kage Black iron we do carry (our code IR37). If it is a parallel tip (.370) and all the shafts are one length (like a 42″ blank) and the parallel tip section length is 5.5 inches like it is on the Kuro Kage Black, then that trim should work. If the tip diameter is .355 tapered and the shafts are progressively different lengths, then there should not be any tip trimming. My suggestion is to call Mitsubishi and they should be able to tell you from the code on the butt end what generation they are and what the trim is.
