Using the maltby playability factor numbers. How do I determine the best irons for my occasional toe miss
Occasional toe misses are not uncommon, even for really accomplished players. Basically, the higher the playability, the more stable the club head is on off center hits. So, you will get more stability and more forgiveness on the occasional toe hit the higher the playability number. If you considering one that is 720 points vs 780 points, for example, there will not be a noticeable difference. The noticeable difference comes when comparing a club that is in the Conventional category or below to the clubs in the Game Improvement, Super Game Improvement and Ultra Game Improvement categories.
