I am trying to choose my first test iron. I just hit the 2025 P790s and loved them. It has a thinner topline than previous model, so it got me a little more comfortable thinking about the TS1IM.
Are there measurements on the top line width of the TS1IM and the TS3? Any side my side pictures?
From my extensive (obsessive) research online, I prefer the look of the TS1IM. I am worried that I am choosing looks over practicality.

TS1-IM topline width is .233″. TS3 is .261″. The original TS! is .211 for comparison. TS1-IM is very forgiving for a traditional blade style iron. TS3 is a little more forgiving and has a less of a blade profile. ?don’t think you can make a bad choice from a performance standpoint. Just have to go with what you want to look at.
You should be able to take images and copy them and paste them and look at them side by side. Or split screen, or something like that. I don’t have photo of them side by side.

I play TS1’s at an 11 handicap. Before TS1 (700+ MPF) I played Ping GMax (900+) and was a 16 handicap. I’m not saying the club change made all the difference but I would say confidently the TS1 is plenty, very forgiving. I’d add that the only thing I think I lost is about 2 yards on bad toe misses. I strike the ball better with TS1s and I think it had more to do with the looks and head not being as large. My next set may be TS3s as I think I’d like the lower CG with my swing.
