I am not sure if I got two bad iron heads, but I’ve noticed that the TS-2 seems very dead. Theres no longer that softness feel of the ptm. Am I missing something? Also, how will the TS-1 feel in comparison to the TS-2?

I just came in from range session with these and really concentrated on contact or more likely mishits. I found they dont like to be hit thin in the feel department but still yield good results. Hit these flush up on the face and they feel as solid as any other club. I had a TE 7 iron along with me and sure the TE feels better on mishits but it’s not that much better when flushed than the TS-2. For me the performance of the TS-2 trumps however they may feel on a mishit. They are unbelievably straight and fly great. Looking forward to the TS-1 release but I’m damn happy with the TS-2.

The feel of shots always relates to the shafts as well. Perhaps there is a problem with the shaft or how it was assembled. Might consider reshafting them. And of course it could be a defective head, but I think that is less likely.

Have you used any impact tape to see where you are hitting the ball on the face.. poor contact will feel exactly like your are explaining.

Yep no problems, impact was as close to dead on. Could be the hollow. Shots are far and straight just doesn’t have that soft feeling.

I wouldn’t expect a hollow body, thin faced iron to feel as soft as a full forged muscle-back iron. Not a fair comparison if that is your expectation IMO.

Got it that makes sense. That’s probably that hollow feel I’ve been having. Just doesn’t feel like I have the feedback I want. Explains it.

Mike,

Not sure what your feeling. We have not experienced what you describe at all. I have hit hundreds, if not thousands of balls with the TS2 during development and now the final product and it is the longest iron I have ever hit, with a great sound and feel. I would like for you to send the clubs in question back to my attention so I can examine them to determine if there is something that could explain what your experiencing. As far as the TS1, I am currently playing one of only two sets in existence (Pete is playing the other), and we both are extremely happy with the results. I have a set of the TS2’s as well and still play with those some too, and hit balls with both sets.

Basically the softness feel isn’t there like the ptm. Just doesn’t feel like it is forged if that makes sense. I’ve only hit them on the range maybe I need to get them on the course. It’s just the 7 and 8 iron.
