As posted previously under same title:
the results of my bending the two wedges:
Max Milled Wedge 58* (8* of bounce)
With head laid wide open (90*) measure from leading edge to the ground 3/4″
When head is bent to 54* (4* of bounce) leading edge to ground laid wide open 11/16″
so the leading edge is approximately 1/16″ closer to the ground when bent to 54*, decreasing the bounce by ~4*
TSW Wedge 58* (6* of bounce)
with head laid wide open (90*) measure from leading edge to ground 39/64″
when head is bent to 54* (2* of bounce) leading edge to ground 33/64″
so after being bent the leading edge is 3/32″ closer to the ground, decreasing bounce by ~4*
either way, as Britt mentioned earlier the TSW should lay closer to the ground.
My customer noticed it also and appreciates how he can clip the ball off tight lie’s and hard pan.
Expensive experiment. Snapped the 1st TSW trying to get it to the last 1* (55-54). It came in at 59* so I was trying to bend it 5* which might have been wishful thinking. The first was with a DRM finish. Not sure if that would matter with the bending.
