I have seen conflicting answers as to whether or not these shafts can be trimmed to play more similar to x stiff. Does anyone have definitive answer on this? I play standard length irons.
I’ll second krking20 comments, playing to those exact specs in TS4s and feel much stouter and better than the demo club I tried at TT LT “normal” S trim. Pleasantly surprised how well this shaft feels for the price point.
There is 12 inches of parallel tip length on the Score LT, so you can trim more than the S flex calls for. If you trimmed 1″ more than is normal for an S flex, that would be trimming 7 inches from the tip for wedge, which leaves the raw shaft 34 inches, for the install, so depending on the bore depth or bottom of the bore to ground line on the heads you’re using you might be short in playing length. Might not, but might. 1/2″ more tip trim than the IR11 trim code that is listed for an S flex should be doable and should give you a strong S flex if not an X. X flex ranges can vary, so not knowing how strong of an X flex you want or need I can’t say if the 1/2″ extra trim will be enough.

I play the Score LT at 1/2 inch over length, tip trimmed to length. They feel stout and I think are somewhere closer to X-stiff than S. Solid shaft
