I am making a set of irons and using dynamic gold shafts. I’ve weighed the shafts and they are between 127 and 133 grams. What is the best way to deal with this variance? Put the heavier shafts on the longer clubs? Thx!
I assume you are referring to parallel tip shafts that start out as “the same weight” before trimming. First, shame on TT for that variance in weight. 3 or 4 grams is acceptable in my book. Second, weight sorting would put the lighter weighted shafts in the longer clubs. This method helps keep the weight constant, since more is tip and butt trimmed from the shorter clubs.
