What is the ideal shop size, floor plan and layout. Sq.ft.
It really depends on what your going to do. If you are a business that is going to have some volume, then you need more space. If you are just wanting to build yourself a shop to tinker and work on your clubs (a maybe a few friends clubs), you can get by with a smaller footprint. If you need room for inventory (grips, shafts, heads, etc.), then you’ll need more space. If you going to employ anyone working in the shop and be open to the public as a business you will have to adhere to ADA regulations (Americans with disabilities Act). There are many other guidelines related to setting up a shop in a store front business. If I can assume your talking about a home shop, you can set up everything you need is space that’s 15′ X 15′, easily. You could go 12′ X 20′ as well and have plenty of room. Home or business, you will want to be have proper ventilation around the gripping area and shaft cutting area. Smaller footprints than I mentioned can work too, but again it really depends on what tools you want to use and what type of work you want to do.
