Howdy, all!

I am still testing out the TS3 and TS4 7 irons against my gamer PXG0317T. I have come to realize how much I am liking the feel and load of the Graphalloy ProLaunch Blue in L and 44g for my driver and have done the same with my 3 and 7 woods. I have a very deliberate take away and transition smooth yet still swing pretty fast. This leads me to my conundrum. I tried going MODUS 115 stiff for my irons but just cannot deal with the joints flaring up at my age anymore. I tested a Recoil ES 460 in reg flex for the TS3 and love the feel but think it may be too light? I am considering some shafts for the TS3 or 0317t set and want to explore the whippy shaft on those but not sure where to look or what to look for. I do love how the PLB feels at the butt of the shaft in how it flexes easily but do want to maintain some control and not balloon shots.

I know this may be a needle in a haystack kind of ask, but any help would be appreciated!

Grafalloy make a ProLaunch Blue iron shaft in an 80 gram weight shaft that is a low kick point high launch shaft. It has a micro mesh tip section which makes the shaft tip stable but it is still more flexible. It will get lighter as it gets tip and butt cut for each club. My calculations show a cut shaft weight for a 5 iron in the 73 gram range. The Recoil ES R flex cut shaft weight for a 5 iron would be in the 58 gram range. Another option could be the Recoil 780 ES Smacwrap (S0107) which is a mid/low kick point and an 83 gram weight shaft in the R flex.
