Would just echo what Michael said about the variety of features that make up a design. Our goal is to always maximize the playability and forgiveness in whatever category we are designing for. Yes, if players wanted to minimize bad results on mishits, the most forgiving design should be played by all. However, not all of us want the cosmetic or the dimension, or some feature that generally has to be designed into an iron that is the MOST forgiving possible. Fortunately we are able to design high playability and forgiveness into iron models today without having to go too extreme in design. I love the KE4 MAX and fit a lot of players in it. Players that probably need what it has to offer but don’t like the look (I don’t thing the look is bad at all for an Ultra Game Improvement iron), the TS3 or the KE4S or the STi2 are all options to consider. The TS3 is the most popular for us right now, and it is the newest.
I advise to to try to combine features that will be beneficial to you, but also provide the look and feel you prefer. Both are important to providing you your best game experience, and ultimately your best performance.

I was in the same boat. I played the KE4Max this year and will again next year as I continue to tinker with fine tuning weights and such. I have liked but never loved the feel. I was recently fitted for the TS3 and I love the feel. I will upgrade to them once I’ve figured out how to dial in my specs. Though they may be slightly less forgiving, their superior feel on center shots is worth the trade off. Palmer said golf is a game between the ears. I would add that it is also about the journey, not the destination, at least for me. Yes, I want to score well, but I also want to feel enough of those pured shots every round that keep me coming back for more.
