It’s winter and we’re all day dreaming of our next round after watching some of PGA’s west coast swing. So I’m curious to know WITB now Mr. Lindsey? Anything you’re adding for ‘25 season? Are you still gaming a driver from 2008 and what is your preferred golf ball at the moment?

I just have the standard weight putter shaft, the MA1010 straight stepless black Maltby putter shaft. It’s 128g. The heavier shafts, like the Pure Track SS we developed, are really good with the heavier head weights most putters are being made to today. They help counterbalance, add total mass and testing proves heavier overall weighting can smooth out strokes and help those that might have a little hitch in their stroke from time to time. I have used it some and do like it, but I have a little harder time with distance control using it on longer putts. That’s just me, and I prefer a more traditional weighted putter, not too heavy.

At the end of last year I had the TS4 irons 5 thu PW with Nippon Pro Modus 120 S flex steel shafts, FDI utility long irons in the #4, #5 with SteelFiber 95 S flex shafts in them, KE4 Pro IST #3 wood with Rapport 70 TS shaft, and KE4 TC Pro Driver with Ventus Blue TR 6 S. Wedges are the prototypes of the new DRT wedges 48 G Grind, 52 A grind or S grind, and 56 A grind or S grind. “A” grind if turf and sand is neutral to soft, “S” grind if turf and sand is neutral to firm. Putter is PTM-5CS most of the summer. Haven’t touch a club since October and as of now not planning on any changes. We will see. Probably a putter change to one of the new ones we have coming, but maybe not. I’m sure I will try a few new things this year, but I think the irons and wedges will not change. I really never know until I get out a few times.

I am curious about what weight shaft you have in the PTM-5CS putter. I see in the club paks the options vary from 120g to 242g. Thoughts on the difference? Thanks.
