Depending on your grandson’s strength level, I’d look at the Maltby M890 graphite shaft.
if he’s a stronger, bigger, kid maybe a lightweight steel shaft. If you can find them?!?
Thanks for the advice. I think I’ll do the M890 heads and shafts. Just need to take him for a fitting so I can determine best flex and lie angle.
Silver Scots were nice in their day. Might be more cost effective to get him a new set of M890s or ST Irons.
As far as flex, that’s up in the air. My son at 12 years played stiff steel DG. Neighbor kid played A flex graphite. They were fit at Golfsmith in the Chicago area in 2000.
