I have been told Hogan Apex shafts (1970s and 1980s) tend to play firmer – the regular (3) plays more like a stiff. Is that the case, and if I soft step 2 times (a 5 iron shaft in a 7 iron shaft) what is the probable result?

@solly. Played a lot of Hogans for years. Apex 3 was definitely a standard regular. 4 was stiff. Good luck with the soft step if you chose to do so.
