I’m looking forward to this head in Canada. Do we have any more updates. Not on the Canadian website yet, and certainly not in the club packs.
I’m very interested in this head. Sounds like a winner. Is there a chance it may be available in Canada anytime soon. Not on the site as yet. Thanks kindly, -Bill
Many bending products are out of stock for Canada. Bending bars in particular. Probably Covid slow down among other things. Both non marring bending bars appear to be out of stock.
Ken. I believe youre asking about all graphite shafts that a 1/2 inch longer installed. Most OEMs will install graphite shafts 1/2 inch longer. I believe they do this for swingweight purposes. I have...
Just an opinion. But I made a TS2 4 iron with an FST 115 and love it. I dropped a 4 hybrid. My make up is driver, 3 wood, 3 hybrid, 4 iron and down. -Bill
I got lucky and was able to snag a loft lie machine that is 10 years old, but in immaculate shape. The machine is branded as Golfsmith, but appears to be the Golfworks machine worth around $1000. In fact...
@jagall75. Feel your pain on this one. I have successfully used the rubber tungsten tip weights on many shafts, including the Maltby graphite’s. Lots of options, and you can take the heaviest tip weight...
Woobie.. you cannot go wrong with the TS2 line. I’ve got mine dialled in this summer, and for me it could be the best Maltby head I’ve ever hit in an iron. There’s a number of discussions on several...
I’m finding some good bargains on older Maltby drivers. I’m a fan of some smaller heads. Unfortunately many are pretty beat up. So my questions are about painting. Can the scuff marks be touched up?...
Daniel has the correct answer above. The only reason graphite shafts are longer is to provide a swingweight which is higher. IMO if you hit a steel shafted 7 iron well, use the same length in a graphite...
Gigagolf —- Independent reviews are up and down. The forgings look good, but they have problems stocking. The player improvement irons have some quality control issues namely paint, decals, breakage...
I feel the KE4 is far more playable. This is a Maltby all time best seller. Tough to go wrong with this head if your hitting them well. regarding the M890 for a gal whose 5’5” the club would have to...
Ryen91. At the moment they are designing a new blade. That’s all most of us know. -Bill
Great discussion. Lofts are a little off putting with modern designs. That’s why I made a blended set from Maltby. I play the ST2 down to the 9 iron. Then the TE wedge and Gap wedge. This eliminates...
For shafts I always recommend the Nippon line. For heads the KE4 Tour plus, or the STi2 heads. In the Nippon try a lightweight shaft in regular. For a driver the lightweight Maltby shaft, senior A flex,...
The ISO-T has been out a while now, and I’m still interested in trying the club. For anyone playing the head what are you shaft combinations? My thanks, -Bill
Driver shaft discussion. For a number of years I’ve played a Taylor 580 with a Fuji speeder EX652 shaft in regular flex. I’ve always wanted to build a Maltby driver backup and I have. I’ve made the...
Also the KE4 tour+ is a nice head. I made a set of these for a 50 year old some time ago. Adjustable weight gives you the option of dialling in feel. Also I’d recommend a lighter FST shaft in the 100...
Played Maltby house brand in driver, 3 wood, hybrid and irons. I’ve been happy with them all and never strayed. I’ll gladly install on anything.
TS-2 head. Many options for graphite. You could try the Maltby iron shaft. You could make a 7 iron for about $85. For yourself I’d suggest a regular shaft for starters. -Bill
