I’m building a 7 and 9 wood to replace a 3 and 4 hybrid. My thoughts on fairway wood lengths 41” for 7 wood and “40 for 9 wood. Is this correct?

I would look at our recommended length charts at the link Rlafoone posted, but also pay attention to the head weights and what shaft weight your using. At 41 on the #7 with a 75 gram shaft and 50 gram grip the estimated swing weight is going to be pretty light, around C4-5. 40 in on the #9 is going to be the same. Our recommended #7 wood length at the stock weights is 41.5 and with a 75 gram shaft and 50 gram grip that should get you around C9. #9 wood would be 41 and same parameters with the grip and shaft would get you around C9. Again, that is with the stock head weights. Head weights can be adjusted, so if you need the shorter lengths, might get some extra weights to weight up the heads slightly. The come with 8 gram weights as stock, so you would need heavier than that.
