Question for Britt.

I replace my wedges every year due to wear and frequency of play.

My wedge play around the greens is pretty good, leaving myself a chance for a 1 putt 70% of the time.

My 54* is the Max 54/6 with 1.05 sole width. I seldom lay the blade open unless I need to carry a bunker. I tend to catch it fat on occasion (it digs) and am looking for a bit more bounce 8-10*.

I’m considering replacing it with the DRT A-54/10 at .950 but am concerned the difference in sole width will cause me to dig/fat the wedge.

I think another option would be the TSW 54/10 with the 1.070 sole width – seems the sole width is greater than 1.05 that the Max offers and would be a good alternate.

Finally my 3rd choice would be  the Max 56/10 at 1.05 sole width, which I would bend to 54/8.

Looking for suggestions on the above.

My final concern is my bunker play is atrocious, but has improved with the Maltby Glider 56/8 bent to 58/10. Can get out of the bunkers, but a problem with distance control. In my world, “out” is good. Tend to dig into the bunker. I also use this around the green on occasion which works well, obviously i don’t manipulate the face.

with that in mind I’m leaning towards the forthcoming DRT W 60/6 with the 1.250 sole width bending it to 58/4 or leaving it as is, or the Max 56/10 – 1.05, bent to 58/12.

Again ideas on either choice. Get a bit confused whether bounce or sole width are going to benefit me the best.

TIA
