My plan is late winter to head down to golfworks and get fitted for some maltby irons and woods. I’m a bigger guy, 9 1/2″ wrist to finger tip measurement and plan on gaming xl jumbomax like I had on my set before I stopped playing 8 years ago.

Last week I was able to get a set of 13 grips for $99, but then it got me thinking if I should buy some “burner” grips to use for my fitting, IF the guys at golf works would do such a thing. Being I’m not a standard size in anything, I’m trying to maximize my trip down there by covering variables before I even get there  I’m 6’6″ so iron length will most likely become a factor as well which I plan on calling ahead and addressing.
