Over thinking a bit, maybe, but I understand. I never concern myself with leading edge height when bending. Yes, it will change very slightly if weakening or strengthening the loft, but the sole angle is what I pay more attention to. Sole width and bounce are both factors when considering how a wedge interacts with the turf. A wide sole wedge plays like it has more bounce because of the sole width. That is why you find wider sole wedges usually with less of a measured bounce angle. The do not need as much bounce because of the sole width.
Of the two scenarios you described, with the DRT-W grind, I would lean towards taking the 60/6 and bending to the 58/4. Leading edges are plenty radiused and the with the wide sole I don\’t think you loose much by reducing the bounce to 4 degrees. I really like the A grind as well. Still plenty of sole width but with a little more radiused sole combined with the 8 degrees bounce on the 58. The other thing I would add is if you like to open the blade to hit certain shots, wider soles tend to raise the leading edge more, which I know you know. If you do, that would be a reason to look more at the A grind vs the W grind. That being said, wider soles will always be more forgiving, UNLESS you open the blade a lot.
My guess is you don\’t hit a lot of full shots with the 58, so you want a combination of loft and sole that works in the turf conditions you play the most for the shots you it the most.

thanks Britt think a A and W grind will be going into the cart when the W is available.
